Agencies for Freelance web designers and developers

When I first started freelancing in the UK, I found it hard to figure out which recruitment agencies I should be approaching.

It can be a lot of time wasted if you spend your time approaching the wrong agencies rather than working for a client and getting paid. My saying and maybe a lot of other people - “it’s a full time job, getting a job!”.

To actually save yourself being called up by some quite blunt recruitment consultants heres a list of people I have dealt with in the last year.

There are always some pretty cool jobs advertised by some of the above at:

Most of the work is located in or around London. If you get your CV together with a good portfolio (usually around 6 sites) (and two referrees) you can stand out from the other candidates applying, and make a consultants day as well as yours!

Normally you have to go along to the agencies offices to complete the paperwork and a 1 hour test on a web template.

I have also just gone to a Limited company, as I found out my National Insurance contributions were being paid each month more than once. I use Liberty Bishop, ask around - other freelancers, and agencies.
