This is a very straight forward way of getting extra revenue from your web site.

I can see this would be of use to various people who write books, and want more than just an image link on their homepage, this is a whole new site dedicated to selling books on Amazon.

All you have to do is register at the Amazon Associates General site. Choose “a-store”, select the colours, text and books, then you are given a link to put on your site. All the hosting for the A-store is done by Amazon.

Your store URL address will look something similar to this one - this is my online bookstore: http://astore.amazon.com/jayonline0f-20/ << with the end part being the affiliate link ID.

I’ve chosen to add individual “personalised” items, rather than just let a feed choose the top sellers from a certain category. I will certainly be telling my clients about it..

The best thing for us developers who want tight control over their code and design is that it is completely separate to the rest of your web site, so no need for text or banner ads on your other sites pages (not unless you want to, of course).
