An exciting move for me, and a natural progression for most freelancers is to get a office for their business.

I have moved into the bustling North Laine area of Brighton. I have a second floor office on the corner of Jew Steet and Church Street. And no, it isn’t a shared workspace community.

I been in there 3 days and it’s a bit like moving house, you have to live and work there a while to get a feel for how you want everything around you. Of course, i’ve bought the obligatory Ikea office bits, a nice lamp and have room for my macbook and windows laptop.

The office has meeting facilities and room for my folding bike, its a really nice ‘next step’ in my freelance life.

The next task is to get a workable office backup system, a remote system preferably. I am thinking of using my hosting account, but if you have any other ideas let me know.

Another one of my aims for this year completed, and it’s nice to return back to a ‘proper home’ again at the end of each day.

So if you are in the area ring on the buzzer and we’ll let you in!
