Most Visited Sites of 2007

The 5 essential sites that I visited everyday in 2007

Flickr > Reading comments about my pics, and looking at my contact lists latest photos.
Delicious > For finding links i had forgotten.
Twitter > Microblogging for the masses connected community.

Facebook > People that arent on twitter are here.
Upcoming > Future events friends, colleagues and I will be attending.

All of them social networking sites, all of them with API’s to create your own style of content. I like how you can choose to have the content delivered, and in an increasing number of similar sites choosing how to interact with them. In particular mobile versions.

I suppose the real winner for these sites is that they are creating a personal learning network. With Peer to Peer engagement. Bringing people together who you wouldn’t get the chance to reach by web 1.0 methods - socially, intellectually amongst others.
Thanks to Morn on Twitter, I’ve found a cool app for creating a lifestream and compiling all of the feeds from the above sites into one page.

Meanwhile, lets see what our favourite sites will be in another 12 months time.. Death to Facebook? or to Google?

Ditto for the sites… although try to avoid actually visiting Facebook - the little Netvibes plugin pulls friends status update changes without the need to trawl the ‘funwalls’ etc.
