Ever wondered what the colours around you made you react, or feel . Well, without getting too ‘new age’ colour therapy has been shown to improve your life.
Just by adding a splash of colour to things around you, at home and at work can improve your state of mind and well being.
Walls – Putting up some orange can galvanise your brain. Studies have shown that people are more productive in orange rooms! Its a useful mix of energising red and creative yellow that does it apparently. Will it stop us wasting time on facebook and twitter? We will have to get the paint brushes out to see!

This Excerpt is from Duct Marketing Blog:
Web people like to talk about clear and smooth businesses or web sites as those that are very simple for the visitor to navigate and experience. There are many places your business can fall down in this regard and all perform a marketing function, for good or bad.
So, here are some common places to look and make sure you are easy.
Are you easy:
- To communicate with – voicemail, email, contact us page, IM, click to call,
- To understand – narrowly defined market, simple core message of value
- To listen to – two or three well developed presentations on message
- To speak to – ability to listen and advise, know when to say no and thank you
- To network with – think give before get, throw away the score card
- To trust – consistency and content, be the authentic you, educate – don’t sell
- To buy from – smooth transaction, delivery, follow-up
- To work with – engaging experience, results driven
- To refer – tools that teach how to refer, give partners way to refer – workshops
This applies to you, whether just starting out or have been going for a few years – take a look at each point to see what you think you score highly for and those that you don’t.

When I was leaving SxSw earlier this month, I picked up an American magazine called .Inc.
It caught my attention as it had Ev, the Co-Founder of Twitter being interviewed.
I definitely recommend you check out the Magazine, or the website which are both fantastic. On the website you will find a whole multitude of feeds you can subscribe to, depending on what type of business information you are looking for.

Well, the creme de la creme Web Design and Development Conference in Austin, Texas certainly lived up to its formidable reputation.
And it’s hard to put into one blog post an event that encompasses so many aspects of the web, real time social networking, some marketing, and a lot of partying with new friends.

One interesting statistic was that it was thought 20% of America’s iPhone users were at SxSw. There were a lot of iPhones, and Apple products everywhere you looked. It felt like being part of a community just by having similar gadgets with these folks.
I really loved the openness of the event, it’s true – you can sit next to a Vice president of Yahoo! on one side and an A list web celebrity on the other.

On average I get around ten New Client Enquiries a week, around 3/4 of the enquiries are from the contact page of my web site.
The number often depends on many factors, the time of year, what my availability shows on my site, and how strongly the client wants to work with me.
I often find, people who ‘generally’ have their act together call me to discuss their initial requirements.
Also other emails are a lot of link requests, and outsourcing to Asia as well which maybe of use to some virtual companies.

The annual event held at Earls Court in London, saw many more people attending the event than last years.. Over 3000 people filled the venue each day.
Also probably the least geekiest web event to attend in the web industry calendar.
I attended on the wednesday, when I saw the following presentations:
