notes from Internet World
Posted: 3 May 2007The annual event held at Earls Court in London, saw many more people attending the event than last years.. Over 3000 people filled the venue each day.
Also probably the least geekiest web event to attend in the web industry calendar.
I attended on the wednesday, when I saw the following presentations:
Loic le Muir’s presentation on ‘The Future of blogging’:
4 different types:
1> blogging to escape your friends, eg: second life
2> blogging to stay with your ‘best’ friends, eg: dopplr, twitter
3> video blogging, eg: joost
4> a culture of blogging, due to no office, no boundaries, not time, no costs, no race, no smoking!
Claudia Struzzo’s presentation on ‘Digital brands in the twenty first century’.
She spoke of how to go about doing business:
“Credibility is the key. To be clear and honest in all our practices, with clients, with suppliers. Deliver to your vision, integrating great ideas along the way and driving it yourself”
Also Increasing online conversion rates (powerpoint file) from webcredible.
Podcasts of all the keynote presentations will be available on the Internet World site from Monday 07/05/07
A good day to catch up with new products, mainstream web technologies, predictions for the future and a great networking event/debrief next door, thanks to Chinwag.
